Tracey Reed Armant

Tracey began her career as an English teacher at Governor Thomas Johnson High School in Frederick, Maryland. After leaving the classroom, she earned a Masters’ Degree in Public Administration from the Woodrow Wilson School and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the Curry School of Education at the University of Virginia. Tracey spent the next few years as an Assistant Professor in the College of Education at Ohio University. Upon returning to Pittsburgh, Tracey was a researcher at the University of Pittsburgh’s Center for Injury Research and Control and manager of the Child Advocacy Center at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. Tracey worked on the youth investment team at the United Way of Allegheny County (now, United Way of Southwestern PA). Currently, she is a Program Officer with the Grable Foundation and serves on the boards of A+ Schools, Connecting Champions, Pittsburgh Public Schools, Women for a Healthy Environment, and the World Affairs Council. Tracey lives in Pittsburgh with her husband and two children.
