Come visit the new Book Harvest Family Space in Durham! It is a brand-new colorful area full of free books, wall toys, a magnet wall, reading nooks, puppets, and more – all designed to make it easy for children and families to play, learn, and read together. There is no cost to visit; masks are required for ages 3+. There is a limited capacity of 10 people in the space at a time. Our bright green and orange Book Boxes are popping up all around Durham...and they're filled with books just for YOU! Located in outdoor spaces throughout the community, Book Harvest's Book Boxes are filled with dozens of new and gently used, culturally-inclusive children’s books for ages 0-18. The boxes are regularly stocked with books from Book Harvest, ensuring that children and families have reliable, steady access to high-quality books to harvest and keep.

Six laundromats around Durham have Book Harvest bookshelves and learning spaces! We keep the shelves stocked with free children’s books for ages 0-18. The books are available any time the laundromats are open. children are invited to choose an unlimited number of books from these shelves to take home and keep forever! We are bringing FUN back to laundry.
