Mariel Christian is the Senior Director of the Scientific Stature Services department in Corporate Communications at RTI International. In this role, she oversees the operations of RTI’s electronic information resource center and the RTI Press, which publishes peer-reviewed, open-access publications that reflect RTI’s multidisciplinary research.

Ms. Christian has more than 25 years of experience in the areas of knowledge management, data analysis, and business process improvement. She has led numerous internal initiatives and contributed to external projects requiring bibliometrics data analysis.

She is a member of the Special Library Association (SLA) and Carolinas SLA and the EBSCO Corporate Advisory Board.

Ms. Christian holds an MBA from Meredith College, a Master’s Degree of Library Science from North Carolina Central University, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Methodist College.
