Celebrating Community and Connection at Our Book Babies Farm Celebration!
This past weekend, we gathered with dozens of Book Babies families for our annual Book Babies Celebration at the farm! It was a day full of laughter, connection, and wonderful memories as families and children enjoyed a perfect autumn day together.
Our activities were tailored to delight both children and parents. Families got creative with seasonal crafts, and little ones eagerly lined up for face painting, transforming into butterflies, tigers, and superheroes! The excitement didn’t stop there—the kids loved feeding the friendly farm animals, a favorite activity that had everyone snapping photos and sharing laughs.
We gathered for two bilingual story sessions, bringing beloved stories to life in both English and Spanish. Vanessa and Dani charmed the audience with The Little Blue Truck/El Camioncito Azul, while Taylor and Vanessa's spirited reading of Cows Can’t Jump/Las Vacas No Pueden Saltar delighted both the young and the young-at-heart. It was a beautiful moment of shared language and storytelling.
Each child left with a goodie bag filled with books, toys, bubbles, and puzzles, and our book selection table was a hit, allowing kids to pick out even more books to take home. Of course, everyone enjoyed classic farm treats—sandwiches, juice, water, and hot cocoa warmed everyone up as they recharged between activities.
DJ Rayo kept the energy high with music that had both kids and parents dancing! The farm was bustling with children in their best farm outfits, from miniature hats and boots to charming overalls, capturing the spirit of the day. A few of our youngest participants, tiny farmhands in hats and belts, were especially adorable!
With picture-perfect weather and a beautiful community of families, our 2024 Book Babies Celebration was truly memorable. Seeing the joy on every face was a powerful reminder of our shared mission to foster a lifelong love of learning and connection. We are so grateful to everyone who joined us to make this day special.
