It's the Season for Dreaming!
Join Book Harvest for our 14th annual Dream Big Book Drive on SUNDAY, JANUARY 12, 2025, from 1-4pm at the historic Golden Belt Campus! Since 2011, the local community has gathered on MLK Day (rain, snow, or shine) to donate children’s books, volunteer their time, and honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. While we're gathering ahead of MLK Day this year, our why remains the same: honor the legacy of Dr. King -- whose invocation to serve continues to spark inspiration and establish a sense of fellowship amongst the community. This annual event encourages everyone to celebrate the power of community and our vision of Literacy and Justice for All!

We hope you can join us for a celebratory afternoon of events and entertainment, both indoors and outdoors! Keep warm with a complimentary hot cocoa, cheer on the Bouncing Bulldogs, or take part in an activity led by our awesome community partners. The celebration is part book drive, part volunteer event, part community partner fair, part festival, and all party and fun!
Community members are invited to bring donations of new and gently used children’s books (for ages 0-18) to the Dream Big event on January 12; a drive-through option to drop off books will also be available. Donated books will be available to families in Durham and beyond through Book Harvest’s suite of programs, which provide books and literacy support to children starting at birth. Visit our website for more information about the BIG day!
We want to give a huge thank you to our dedicated book drive captains who have enthusiastically signed up to run Dream Big book drives all throughout the Triangle, our amazing sponsors who help to support and fuel our Big Dream, the wonderful community partners who help bring life to the event, and our cherished community members who continue to support us every year!
