A Valentine's Celebration of Reading and Joy!
Love was in the air this past Saturday, February 8, as more than 100 children and their families gathered in the Durham Family Space for our "I Heart Books" Valentine's celebration! It was an afternoon bursting with joy, laughter, and—of course—books!
Families enjoyed a festive atmosphere filled with delightful activities, from heart-themed crafts to sweet treats. Kids were busy creating colorful valentines, coloring, playing with blocks, jumping on Nuggets, and making new friends!
But the real heart of the event? The books! Hundreds of free books found their way into the hands of excited young readers, each one ready to be taken home and treasured forever.
