Nonprofit News: Book Harvest opens new Family Space in Durham

Book Harvest Durham opened its new 1,390-square-foot Family Space July 19 at its offices at 2501 University Drive in Durham. The area is full of books, wall toys, a magnet wall, reading nooks, and more that is designed to make it easy for children and families to play, learn and read together.

The books in the Family Space, in both English and Spanish, are available for children keep.

“We know that children and families not only need access to books, but also to spaces that are safe, inviting and engaging learning environments,” said Tabitha Blackwell, executive director of Book Harvest Durham.
