Please Join Us: Your Voice Will Guide the Work!

Book Harvest is a partner in the new North Carolina State Family Engagement Center! The purpose of this initiative is to be sure that schools and communities are responding to the needs of all children and families so they thrive!

As we launch this effort, we need to hear from you!

Please consider joining us for one of the eight listening sessions scheduled in April and May. As a family member, you will receive a $25 gift card for participating.

Your Voice Will Guide the Work!

To understand the real needs that families have to be the best advocates for their children, we need to hear from you. We invite families from across the state to join us for the virtual listening tour we will conduct in April-May 2024. We ask you to give us 45 minutes of your valuable time. These sessions will be led by team members from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) and the National Center for Families Learning (NCFL). These sessions will be recorded. Interpretation services will be available.

What We Want to Know!

During each listening session, parents will join with a facilitator to discuss some of the following topics:

  • How would you describe the current family engagement efforts in your community and across the state?

  • How can we better help educators, practitioners, and families collaborate?

  • Based on your experience, what are some of the key assets and resources for family engagement in your community and across the state?

  • How did Covid-19 impact family and school partnerships?

NOTE: If you are a family member, you may apply for a $25 gift card to offset costs that may be associated with your participation (one gift card per family). Please register for a session below to learn more about obtaining a gift card.
