As 2022 comes to a close, I find myself reflecting upon the words of the children and families with whom we partnered with this year — the notes of encouragement, the feedback, and the shared love of books and stories.
One of the notes we received earlier this year was from an elementary school student who wrote:
Upon reading this sweet letter, I am struck by the sentence, “I sent off one of my books to my brother and he loves it.” The generosity and thoughtfulness inspires me; at a young age, this little reader already understands the importance of giving the gift of books and stories.
