Two big nights!

Next week is a big week for the Book Harvest community, and we want you to join us for two big nights!

First, on Tuesday, join us for the Durham Bulls‘ annual Bring a Book Night at 7:05 p.m. Root root root for the home team as the Bulls take on the Charlotte Knights — and get BOGO tickets when you bring a book to donate to Book Harvest! For every new or gently used children’s book you donate, you will get a buy one get one free ticket to the game. We especially need books that reflect our diverse community — books with diverse main characters or characters with different abilities. We’re so grateful to Sigora Solar for sponsoring this promotion and to our friends at the Durham Lions’ Club for helping make it happen! Help make this a home run for our kids and a big win for the Bulls!

Then, on Wednesday, join us as our first ever writers-in-residence launch the book they’ve spent the summer writing! Our friends at Hendrick Subaru Southpoint (200 Kentington Drive, Durham) will host the party from 5 to 6 p.m., where you’ll be the first to get a chance to read “The Boy Who Couldn’t Make Friends” and get a signed copy of your own to take home. We’ll also be collecting book donations at the party, so bring your books to share! Hear what Jeremiah and Kassan have to say about their book here:
