We’re dreaming of book drives…50 and counting!

Have you seen the list?!? Already 50 organizations, schools, businesses, neighborhoods, clubs, and teams have signed up to run book drives for Dream Big…and we’re still 10 days away from the big day! Running a book drive is a great way for groups to serve together — in your own space, on your own time — and delivering your books to Dream Big is a really fun way to wrap up your project! (A bit of advice: when you make your plans to bring your books to Dream Big, plan to bring your whole group and stay a while — you don’t want to miss out on all the fun we have  planned!)

Here are five easy steps to a successful book drive!

[feature]Sign up! We want to know you are doing it, and we want to list your book drive on our Dream Big page. It takes just a minute.

[/feature]

[feature]Print a sign for your book drive donation bins.

[/feature]

[feature]Use our graphic to share the news of your drive with friends, family, and colleagues. Include this image in your emails, on your social media, on your website, and even in your printed materials.

[/feature]

[feature]Check out our wishlists! We always need more board books, books by diverse authors and/or featuring diverse characters, and graphic novels. You can buy our most-needed books from our Amazon wishlists and have them sent directly to our office!

[/feature]

[feature]Bring your book donations to Dream Big! We’ll be at Rhythms Live Music Hall (2020 Chapel Hill Rd., in the Lakewood Shopping Center in Durham) on MLK Day, January 20, from 1 to 4 p.m.

Can’t make it to Dream Big? Don’t worry! You can drop your books anytime at our office, 2501 University Drive, in the Rockwood Shopping Center in Durham. Our office is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you stop by after hours, simply drop the books in the collection bin by our front door! ALL books collected through the end of January will count toward our Dream Big total.
