Start Date: February 2019

As Associate Director of Procurement and Logistics, Caitlyn Smith (she/her) oversees the organization's book acquisition, cost control and efficient distribution systems, maximizing Book Harvest's efficiency and impact. She maintains strong relationships with publishing partners to secure the best pricing, and her keen eye for organization keeps Book Harvest's facilities running smoothly, including our offices at our National Headquarters.

Caitlyn has an intimate knowledge of Book Harvest programs, having previously directed our community engagement programs in Durham and managed our book banks during the height of the pandemic. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies from UNC-Charlotte and serves on the Board of Directors at Crayons2Calculators, another organization dedicated to children's literacy.

In her free time, Caitlyn enjoys exploring local eateries, catching up with loved ones, and curling up with a good book (and her calico cat, Frankie!). Her favorite children's book is "You Matter” by Christian Robinson.
