Executive Coordinator and Research Assistant
Pronouns: she/her
Start Date: July 2024
Jillian began her career in books after she graduated college, and spent six years as a book editor with Random House in New York City. She pivoted to social work in 2022 and graduated with her MSW in 2024 from North Carolina State University. While she was earning her master's degree, she interned with the development and communications team at the Orange County Rape Crisis Center, which afforded her insight into the invaluable relationship between social work, public health, and non-profits. At Book Harvest and in her capacity as an Executive Coordinator and Research Assistant, she is excited about continuing this work, coupling her commitment to community change with her deep belief in storytelling.
Jillian lives in Chapel Hill with her husband, their toddler, and their dog. Her favorite children's books, currently, are Julián is a Mermaid by Jessica Love and Buffalo Fluffalo by Bess Kalb.
