Robin Smith

Senior Director of Finance
Robin Smith has an extensive background in accounting and nonprofit leadership. With a career spanning over 25 years in the accounting industry, Robin has held numerous leadership roles in nonprofit organizations across the U.S., Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Haiti.

She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master’s degree in Accounting with a concentration in Forensic Accounting from Southern New Hampshire University. In 2015, Robin started her own accounting firm, specializing in tax services, CFO consulting, small business and nonprofit advising, as well as internal audit and fraud investigation.

Beyond her work in accounting, Robin is a certified yoga, Pilates, and group fitness instructor, teaching around the Triangle area since 2017. Having recently joined Book Harvest in February 2025, she is thrilled to be a part of a dynamic team and looks forward to contributing her expertise and passion for nonprofit work.
