Taylor Horne
Literacy Coach

Taylor Horne (she/her) is a Literacy Coach for our Book Babies program, conducting quality home visits to children and families from birth and ensuring a literacy-rich environment in our Durham community.
She studied Linguistics and Peace, War, and Defense at UNC Chapel Hill, with a minor in Spanish translation and interpretation. She has worked in various language teaching roles, most recently in Spain, teaching English in Madrid and Barcelona. During that time she also began working for a disability inclusion specialist based in the UK, a role that fostered a great interest in accessibility work. She joined Book Harvest excited to support children, their families, and the role that Literacy For All plays in achieving social justice.
Taylor enjoys reading, being outside, and spending time with friends and her dog, Sadie. Her favorite children's book is Belle Prater's Boy by Ruth White.
