Role at Book Harvest: Rachel oversees the strategic growth of our programs and provides day-to-day support to our program team.

Likes & Loves: Rachel enjoys spending time with her husband and teenaged sons, going on walks with friends, and traveling to California to be with her extended family.

Community Involvement: Advisory Council for the Wash and Learn Initiative, Steering Committee for Durham’s Campaign for Grade-Level Reading, Learning Happens Everywhere Project Advisory Committee

Where she studied: Bachelor of Arts in English and Sociology from Westmont College and Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California

Experience: 12 years of nonprofit experience, 5 years of experience in education

What she’s hopeful for: A healthy childhood for all children.
