Ginger Young, Book Harvest podcast

As Founder and Executive Director of Book Harvest, Ginger Young knows a thing or two about the highs and lows of starting a new nonprofit. Starting with a few friends donating books to her garage, Book Harvest has now “harvested” more than 250,000 books and given them to low-income kids in Durham.  In this episode, Ginger and Damon talk about the work the Book Harvest team is doing to prevent summer learning loss, how her “Book Babies” program promotes kindergarten readiness, and Book Harvest’s Dream Big Book Drive on the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service (January 19).
